Thursday night: tres---dos---uno---LISTOS!!!! Our students met up at the airport and have started their journey to Malaga!!!
All checked in. Flight to Paris is slightly delayed (3.45). More updates tomorrow. Friday: Arrived in Paris. Unfortunately, due to the delay from AD, our group missed their connection flight to Malaga. We had to split the group into two, with one teacher flying some students in the 1pm flight while the other teacher will fly with the rest of the students at 8.50pm to Malaga. All students are having a well deserved sandwich/juice break in Terminal F. (time to practise their French!). They are a bit tired but happy to know that they will be in Malaga tonight. 1st group arrived in Malaga, with their luggages. (4pm) 2 nd group is getting ready to board. Plane is on time. Estimated arrival in Malaga: 23.25. Students will be met by coach driver who will take them to Cordoba and to their families for a well deserved night!. More updates tomorrow. Saturday: early hours: students arrived safely in Cordoba and met up with their families. Great day today visiting the great sites of Cordoba! Students faced up the heat with some deliciosos helados (ice-creams). They are about to return to their host families who hopefully are not too upset after the last football game ;). More updates and photos tomorrow night. Sunday: Students had a great day in Sevilla where they visited the main sites such as Alcazar and the bull ring. They even went for a short cruise on the Guadalquivir river. It's so hot so our students decided to embrace the Andalusian culture and bought some lovely fans to keep cool as well as some hats!. More news and photos tomorrow night. Monday: beautiful day in Granada. The temperatures have cooled down and it even rained a little bit today. Visit of the famous Alhambra, the Generalife gardens, paella for lunch and some Flamenco dresses fitting for the girls. A fun and cultural day for all. Tomorrow: back to the classroom for some tuitions and visit of an olive oil farm in the afternoon. Hasta mañana! Tuesday: Students have joined the Language school for a 3 hours tuition. They all survived and actually enjoyed the lesson and are looking forward to more tuitions tomorrow. After a nice lunch break in the park, our group left for an olive farm in the outskirts of Cordoba. There, a guide explained them how they select the olives and make one of the tastiest olive oil in Spain. On the way back home, students stopped at a typical village and admired the typical andalusian architecture as well as its typical gardens. Hasta mañana for more adventure! Wednesday: Students went for their Spanish tuition in the morning and spent a fun afternoon taking some Flamenco lessons! They learned some serious moves! I'm sure that they will be willing to do a little show for us when they come back :) Tomorrow will be the time to say good bye to their host families and to Spain :( Photos uploaded - Hasta mañana! Thursday: After their last Spanish tuition where students did a presentation on their Homestay and received some well deserved diplomas, they said goodbye to their families and left for Malaga's airport. The plane is on time and all students have boarded. Students have arrived safely and on time in Abu Dhabi. We would love for you to join this trip in October. Please come and talk to our students and feel free to ask them any question about the Spanish Homestay 2014 (bis) that will take place in October. |
