Oct. 2014 Activity Week - Work experience in Cordoba

Saturday 25th:
All ready for departure. Plane on time, here starts our trip!
Sunday 26th:
- Everyone arrived in Roma for a quick stop over before embarking on the next flight to Malaga.
- 4.20pm (AD time): Our group arrived in Malaga and are waiting for their luggages before taking the bus to Cordoba.
- In Cordoba, ready for some shopping before meeting the host families!
Monday 27th:
- After their 1st night and some well deserved rest, our team is ready to start their 1st day at their different work placements. Check out the photos from today!
- During their lunch break, our group managed to experience some Spanish and Andalusian culture. They watched a Live Flamenco show while having some tapas..
Tuesday 28th:
- This morning our students made their way to their work placements on their own. They are slowly setting into a routine and are doing really well!
- Students have enjoyed Flamenco so much yesterday that they are going for lessons today during their lunch break! We're hoping for a little demonstration when they come back to AD!
Wednesday 29th:
We are so proud of our students. They are doing really well in their work place and have really settled in. Check out the pictures from their work places! Lydia looks like she owns the place :)
Our students had a good time last night learning some Flamenco moves and indulging in some tapas!
Tomorrow is their last full day at work.
Thursday 30th:
The students have really enjoyed their Flamenco lessons yesterday. Today is their last day at work. It is great to hear that most of them are already thinking about the next time they can come back to Cordoba! Parents, if you want to know more about the possibilities of studying in Spain, don't hesitate to have a look at this website.
Tomorrow is departure day!
Friday 31st:
Departure day. Everyone had a last meal last night with their host families and people from work.
Our group is now on their way to Abu Dhabi. They are at Malaga's airport waiting for their flight that leaves at 1.20pm local time (3 hours behind us)
Saturday 1st of November
Our group has landed in Abu Dhabi. All feeling tired but with great memories to share with their classes tomorrow! Thank you to Mrs Garcia and Mr Wells for accompanying the group!

General description of the trip
This is a programme which enables A-level students who are proficient in the Spanish language to practise their skills in the Spanish workplace. Our homestay centre is situated deep in Andalucia, Cordoba, a declared World Heritage Site, which is a living legacy of the diverse cultures that settled in it throughout history. To take a stroll through the historic quarter of Cordoba is to discover a beautiful network of small streets, alleys, squares and whitewashed courtyards arranged around the Mosque-Cathedral.
This programme is ideal for the motivated Spanish language student wishing to improve their Spanish in a working environment.
Students will be offered work placements in:
The programme is designed for a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 20 paying students. Students will be placed individually occasionally in pairs in host families. If you are interested come and talk to us (S1, S8 or S11), you have until the 19th of September 2014 to pay accounts (8000aed).
